When I say I've been there, I really mean it. 

I tried "gentle sleep training" and all of the settling techniques that seemed to work for everyoneee else. 

But for us? He cried so much he ended up vomiting. 

Later I would learn, that my oldest has temperament traits that made making changes to settling really hard! 

He was an intense sensory seeker with a body craving input to get to a calm baseline. He had a more sensitive nervous system that got overwhelmed more easily. 

Naturally, he needed more proximity and co-regulation.
